Matthew Berke

Matthew Berke graduated law school in 1995 but never practiced law as he pivoted to work in deregulating telecom. That experience enabled him to found LPB Energy Management, a pioneer in Texas’ deregulated electricity market, which was successfully sold in 2012. Matthew started HON Partners in 2018 upon learning that single-moms in Dallas couldn’t find a willing landlord. HON is the largest provider of single family homes in great neighborhoods exclusively to Section 8 tenants. Matthew resides in Dallas and Manhattan with his wife of 30 years and children.
